            Arena Footing Improvements - August 2026 

The covered horse arena underwent a major footing renovation. The existing arena footing was retained and improved with the addition of M10, river sand, and 5% clay. The arena surface was cleaned and reconditioned, with a rolled and compacted base supporting a 2- to 4-inch footing depth. These improvements provide an updated riding surface for a variety of equine and rodeo activities. 

The adjacent uncovered practice arena received improvements as part of the 2026 renovation, including laser grading for improved drainage, pressure-treated kick boards, drainage stone, and reconditioned footing. 

Senator R. Brian Strickland Equine Facility

Conveniently located near the horse arena providing on-site stabling for horse shows, rodeos, barrel races, clinics, and other multi-day equine events.
